I would ask local businesses to sponsor you. Considering the forum is on medicine, maybe ask local pharmacies/doctors etc. to sponsor you. You will probably need to provide some sort of advertisement that lists any sponsors' names so they get recognized for their contribution. Maybe tell them that you will be placing an article in the local paper listing the names of all who contributed. This gets their name out and also lets others know how important this forum is. Most papers would gladly write an article on this type of activity. Maybe the paper can include a picture with you and the highest donor. I would start by contacting the newspaper and see if they will commit to something like this. Then start going to each business and explain to them how the money will benefit both their business, you and your school. This is good publicity for all who are involved.

One of the best ways is to ask the moms of you church,or any type of clup etc that you involed with to each make a pastry, cupcakes pies muffins cookie etc. Then set up a table( with the store permission) walmart or the like and sell them. also collect money like hte sports clubs do out front of a grocery store . have a sbling help you. Good luck Ashley, Also look into pet walking/watching/ washing. Petco gets 35 to 40 bucks to wash a dog!

Definitely ask local area businesses to sponsor you, especially businesses that are medicine or leadership related.

One way to make money is to arrange with a parent (since you may not have access to a car) to bring cheap pizzas to your school when school gets out (or have them delivered).

If you buy ten pizzas at $5 each ($50), then charge $1 per slice, people will line up for slices before afternoon activities and you can pocket the profits. The basketball team does that at my fiance's school and they make thousands each year.

You can also ask a local pizzeria to sponsor you via donation of pizzas or reduced pizza prices so you make more profit selling them for $1 per slice.

You have to clear it with your administration, too, of course.

I am involved with sending students overseas on trips and I have seen some wonderful ideas for fundraising. Make greeting cards for all occasions and sell them. Offer to write a piece about the forum for the local newspaper and see if they'll offer a stipend for it. Write to pharmaceutical companies and see if they'll help sponsor you (maybe they'll be looking for future employees or good will.) Other than those, try your basic sell cookies, babysit, carwash, things. Good luck!!

Have as many people as you know go to:

Supply-n-Learn.com

They can each purchase a Summer Bridge Workbook and $2 of each book sold can go to you. (Make sure they specify where the $2 goes to)

Did you try selling donuts or have your family to have a chicken dinner.
