That is what life is all about each day you learn some thing about what is right and what is wrong. what maybe right for you could be wrong for some one else.

If you are asking "how do we know right from wrong?" it is a morality issue, it is a combination of what has been taught to us and what we have learned from our experiences. Short of our daily involuuntary functions (such as breathing) there is little that we come "pre-programed" with. Right from wrong is not something handed down to us genetically, so it is not built in.

Its pretty much taught...

But the general rule is treat others as you would have them treat you and dont be bitchy or bullying...

try to help others where you can.

It has sod all to do with sexaul behavour except where following the origonal rules.

ie two timing may be bad as hurting someone.

But swingers parties and foursomes would be fine as not hurting
being a nude model or pole dancer is fine but letting people treat you like dirt for it is disrespecting your self.

ie its not the punter who thinks you are really fit and worth a £20 dance... he would probably say high elsewhere.

its the one calling you a slag.slapper or whoe thats immoral.

Likeiwse gays are fine, people sleeping around whilst looking for live also fine.

not using condoms is not fine as putting others at risk.

get the general idea?

An excellent question: I think the power to know good from evil or right from wrong is given to us by our Creator at a certain age. But we need this to be reinforced with the truth/knowledge about how to live a good, moral life. This is the job of the Church(and The Bible) to guide us, as Jesus Christ said "I am The way,the truth and the life." He is The Founder,The High Priest of The Christian church and also our Creator along with our Father and the Holy Spirit(who will come to us and guide us if we sincerely want it). I think Jesus also said "By the fruit they produce you shall know them"
The power to live The Christian way of life is through God's power. We need to ask Him into our lives to truly live a fruitful existence.

i think that it's a mixture of innate instinct - built-in reactions - and what we are taught.

we have a built-in fight or flight instinct that tells us when something is *unsafe* and we should run away or be prepared to fight for our safety - eg our reactions to rape, violence, heights, bitter tasting foods (to keep up from eating poisons) or 'the unknown'...

but if you are talking about *morals*, then it is definitely taught.

we know this because what is considered *right* or *wrong* differs from place to place and time to time.
to take a couple of examples of different sexual moralities (as this is in singles and dating...):-
150 years ago, it would have been considered a sign of severe moral degeneracy for an unmarried woman to go out alone for a drink with a man - even if they were in a public place. ie in todays language, she would have been considered a **** of the highest order. :) nowadays, this is a perfectly acceptable way to behave. the boundary between *right* and *wrong* behaviour between men and women has - even for the fundamentalist christian right - shifted enormously.
or,
in western society, no one would think it unacceptable for a woman to wear a short-sleeved blouse, and a knee-length skirt. in fact we would consider that to be dressing quite modestly. whereas in islamic culture, that would be seen as completely unacceptable, a completely *wrong* way for women to behave.

there are plenty of examples of issues where the choice between *right* and *wrong* is confusing - where there are different messages of what is the *right* thing to do. which is why there are huge debates about euthanasia, abortion, contraception, divorce....

claiming that we have been given direct knowledge of what is right and wrong by god doesn't work.... christians claim that. but so do mormons, muslims and jehovah's witnesses... and they all have different conceptions of *right* and *wrong*. and they all believe that *their* god has given them the *real* knowledge of it....

and christians are completely contradicting themselves when they claim this.
because they also believe that adam and eve were forbidden this knowledge by god, and tricked into getting it by the devil!
