Gain weight? Why. I play football and I can tell you weight is not needed unless you plan on playing line. If you want to get bigger, just start lifting weights. Low reps with high weight. Ask your football coach to assist you in weight lifting. If your school has a weight lifting/strength and conditioning course, enroll in it. So on, so forth. You can also contact me through here if you need more help. I have no problem with assisting.

You can get supplements and stuff like that which I'm sure you know about but the best way to gain real weight that you can keep is to eat at least four times a day. Eat a decent breakfast and always after you work out. Be sure that it's healthy food without a lot of fat and sodium as that only puts weigh on and you want muscle. Also be sure that once you make this a habit that you stick to it. Having a goal like getting on the football team helps a lot but remember that it will take time to get bigger so just be patient.
