I read this quote earlier tonight. It compliments this one.
"We will deserve realization only when we see in a beggar the One whom we prostrate to in the temple." ~ Amma
Amma sees the Divinity in each of us and calls Herself the servant of servants. She bows to all of us because She is seeing God in us.

That's because Gandhi believed we all had a piece of God within us, the soul. For those that can't see this, they will not change the way they believe, so it's of no use to them looking further. By the mere fact you are looking, though, means you believe. So, quite possibly, if the next person you meet is truly an evil person....I say go on to the next one. For the most part, I think people are "good" or at least we try to be "good" based on our understanding of what good is....

False. I believe in loving one another. But I love Jesus over any person so I follow what He has to say.
Mahatma Gandhi was a great person, but if one did not chose to be with God after one died, one is not going to be with God no matter how good one is. All good people do not go to heaven. All forgiven people go to heaven. : )
If you do not care to be with Jesus in heaven, it is a very good thing to follow the wisdom of someone like Gandhi. We all should learn a lot from Mahatma. I just do not want to lose my eternal gift of life for putting it before my God's word :)

GANDHI WOULD HAVE BEEN RECOGNIZED BY THE MASSES AS A TRUE LIVING EXAMPLE OF GRACEFUL SOUL IF HE HAD NOT SAID THE STATEMENT IN THE SUBJECT QUESTION.THERE ARE ONLY TWO POSSIBILITIES,LIKE ,HE HAD NOT NOT SEEN THE 'SELF'THROUGH ANY OF HIS SENSORY/PARA SENSORY/SUPER SENSORY FACULTIES OF HUMAN PERCEPTIONS AND HAD THE FACULTY OF LOOKING AT THE SUB-LEVEL EXISTENCE OF THE THE REAL 'SELF',IN OTHER WORDS 'the self' .I ADMIRE GANTHI AS A GREAT HUMAN FIGURE, LIKE SO MANY PERSONALITIES IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE GLOBE,BUT NOT AS A PERSON WHO USES THE THE WORD 'GOD' FOR A SHEAR ACHIEVMENT ,WITHOUT KNOWING THE CONSEQUENTIAL EVENTS.IN OTHER WORDS HE OUGHT TO HAVE PROCLAIMED THAT HE IS GOD.IF AT ALL GANDHI FELT THAT HE CANNOT CONVINCE THE MASSES ABOUT THE REALITY OF THE EXISTENCE OF GOD ,HE OUGHT TO HAVE DESISTED FROM USING THE THE WORD'GOD', AND SIMPLY FOLLOWED THE PRESCRIPTIONS ,HE WANTED TO GIVE TO THE SOCIETY.IN OTHER WORDS , HE WANTED TO BE A DISTINGUISHED FIGURE IN THE SOCIETY WITH CERTAIN EXTRA SENSORY FACULTIES.MANY MORE TO ADD , BUT NOT REQUIRED FOR THE QUESTION IN PLACE.THIS IS MY PURE PERSONAL OPINION, WHICH HAS A TRUTHFUL FOUNDATION IN THE PLANE OF GODLY' EXISTENCE.

I agree because God is within every human-being. Some people try to suppress God present, but God is still there.
