I bearly got them..they are prob. about 4-5 months...Even though i bearly got them they have taken a liking to me...they let me stick my hand in the cage and they dont fly away or try to bite me. They also like to stand on my finger. I just wanted to know if it was possible to tame 2 birds at the same time.

Birds are very social creatures. The problem with having two parakeets at the same time is that they tend to bond most closely with eachother rather than their human.

However, I have had two birds at a time, and one bird at a time. The one bird at a time was wonderful, we bonded and he was extremely tame and sweet. After he passed away my aunt's tried to find one that looked just like him, to replace him, like I wouldnt notice. I did notice.

I went and picked out a second bird, one that didn't look like my Petey at all. I tamed them both, they both sat on my shoulder and both ate birdseed out of my bellybutton. However triangle love-affiars do not last. They liked eachother more than they liked me and bonded together. I was jilted. I became jealous, they became annoying, and chirped at eachother all day long.

Long story short, yes you can tame two birds at once, but don't expect them to love you as much as they love each other.

Parakeets are very social animals, and in the wild they stay in groups of more then 10! so in a good size cage you can keep 2 or 3 birds together.

in case you're persistent and consistent that's available to coach them whilst they're interior an identical cage. prepare one after the other. while one has achieved what you're training, positioned him on the right of the cage then initiate engaged on the different.
