it hurts coz its being unfair,,,,especially when ur the person involved with it,,,,like ur the last to know that ur gf or bf is having another affair and u just know it through other person or from a friend,,it does really hurt,better be wise and observant at all times,,,,,,be strong always and get over things easily,,,,while we r still young lets be strong enough to conquer evrything..........God Bless

Hmm... to know WHAT? Something that involves YOU / about someones feelings towards YOU?
Anyways, it really depends, does that person mean a lot to you? If not, you should not be feeling hurt. BUT.... if he/she have a special position in your heart, sorry, it really hurts.
At least, you know it eventually, and move on from there.

Your ego gets hurt because you feel like a fool that everyone knew but you---so then you get mad. Know what? The hell with it. Nobody will remember or care this time next year---hell, next month.. Most people are too busy hiding their own embarrassments. Chin up! Keep treking---You're just as good as everybody else.

Head up, you'll feel better in a few days. It hurts that your loved on betrayed you, and told everyone else before they went through with their plans. It's embarrassing and degrading, but go out and find yourself a new significant other. Best wishes.

i can relate.
because beside all those who knew before you, you knew it yourself and as others are aware of also, you have the HIGHEST EXPECTATION about the truth or about that secret.that's why it really hurts so much if you were the last to know.
it happened to me when i was the last to know in our community that my 5 YEAR xBF's new girlfriend was my very best friend, same neighborhood.

Its an ego thing....you feel left out...a redheaded stepchild syndrome....you feel the brunt of possible jokes about you not knowing, while all the friends and relatives do know whats going on.....good luck
