i have ringworm on my neck and my scalp is itchy, can it spread from my neck to my scalp?

Well, a simple case of ringworm can normally be treated with the Nizoral shampoo and the prescribed cream. I found that the over-the-counter jock itch/fungal ointment works wonders. Also, Sulfur 8 shampoo can make a difference.

If the case is persistent, check with your doctor so it can be re-evaluated. My son ended up having an allergic reaction to the ringworm called kerions, which are these massive lumps that ooze fluid. It required him to go on prednisone (steroids) for a week. His hair has not grown back in those spots yet.

Ringworm in a sense is like poison oak, all you have to do is touch it and touch another spot, and you can get it there, or touch it and then someone else, like we did with the poison oak in the 6th grade, we all got a much needed after spring break, break...lol.
Yes it spreads very easily.
I think you need antibotics to get rid of it, Last time I had it I think i was 9 so I do not remember...Except it is very contagious, or easily spread.
See your doctor, or go to the clinic if you cannot afford the doc.

Yes it can. You never want to scratch it and touch somewhere else. it is highly contageous. I would suggest using hydrocortozone cream and then putting a bandaid on it. You can get ringworms from cats.

It may be a fungal infection try washing her hair with Nizoral anti fungal shampoo,you can buy this at a chemist but if it doesn't work she may need anti fungal tablets from her doctor,i have the same thing!

yes it can, because i had it and it went to my scalp. you need t-gel shampoo to get rid of it in no time.. if it works please reply
