It was the final night of our school play and as I walked pass the guy I like I told him good job and gave him a high five. I keep walking but he never let go of my hand until I was completely behind him. Does this mean anything?

It means he wants to be close to you. Take this as a signal that he likes you. He doesn't want to let go of you. He sounds like a good catch.

It could mean something but you should talk to him. Let him know how you feel. Maybe the high five could be mistaken by him as an act of someone that thought of him as a friend and he held your hand longer in hopes of a response on your end. No, in fact this is common and people do it without thinking, like someone leaning on a wall or a chair. The most it means is that he is a casual, relaxed kind of guy.
Don't listen to the people saying he likes you. He's probably not even aware that you noticed this, and talking to him about it might suprise him! This is not an important event.

it means your reading too far into this, stop trying to find a meaning for everything and just take it at face value. he could have seen some smoking hot broad just as he high fived you and was stunned and forgot about you. you have to understand guys are a horny species and we always are looking to get laid.if your good looking and dont have massive colonies of acne then Im sure he wants to do the wild monkey dance w/ u. ask him if you guys can act scenes from a movie together, then when he asks which one say "debbie does dallas".

last time i did something like that the boy didn't let go till i sorta pulled my hand back. he asked me out the next day so maybe it does mean something. since it did for me.

a lot of kids in our musical is sort of like that. they're all over each other, but it doesn't mean anything. We hug, dance, and pretend to flirt with each other. its just because we're all really close and comfortable with each other.
