All a blanket party will end up doing is getting the participants in trouble. In today's military, blanket parties are considered hazing - and that is absolutely taboo. Little Johnny scumbag tells the Drill Instructor, or the Division Commander, and that causes an investigation that can cost that DI or Division Commander his career.
