Me and my ex broke up half a year ago but have stayed in touch since. We are still very good friends. The break-up was not on bad terms at all. Recently we have been flirting with each other alot and I can feel he still cares a lot about me. He has always been nothing but a sweet and respectful guy to me. He has made it clear that he does not want any friend with benefits yet says he would not mind getting" physical" with me again. I still have feelings for him and want to work things out with him, so I want to know how he feels. I am just too scared to ask him as I hate to be rejected. So how do I go about asking him without sounding desperate and pushy. I don't wan to play mind games nor do I want to beat around the bush.

If he doesn't want a friends with benefits situation, but likes the idea of getting physical again, I'd say that you have a pretty good chance of not being rejected. Sounds (from your description, anyway), that he's right about where you are, and basically, one of you needs to make the first move.

Just ask him if he's interested in getting back together. If you don't want to sound pushy, keep your cool. It's just a yes or no question until you make it more than that. Even if he does say no, you WILL get over it..I promise. It's not unreasonable to want to know if he's even interested in the whole relationship deal again.

sometimes people go back to each other.. because it is comfortable, because they are in familiar territory...it is easier.... not because they are in love....

familiarity sometimes breeds contempt... it would be a mistake to go back...

like grandma always said.... All the mayonaise in the world.. can't make chicken salad out of chickenshit!!!!

Find a movie, sporting event, sports bar type setting that would interest both of you and go for it, making it ok to just go as friends.
good luck
