I would love to start doing yoga and getting all the great exercise, mental clarity, etc benefits from it. I live in the country, so taking an actual class is not a good option for me. What DVD or books would you recommend?

I love YogaZone dvd's. They have beginner levels as well as more advanced, but each dvd gives you options for levels. So you'll never be bored.

Here are the links to YogaZone, and also their DVD selection on Amazon.com.

Namaste! :)

The book that got me into yoga is the Sivananda Companion to Yoga and also Kareen Zebroff's Yoga & Nutrition. The 2nd book has been out of print for a long time, so I recommend the Sivanada book. They have a web site at www.sivananda.org.
