1. Plenty God believers are wicked. This is a fact

OKAY...give us the statistical data from three unrelated and independent sources that are not religion or atheist oriented. If I cannot make up fact, lol, neither can you.

2. There's no tangible evidence that God exist. That's why you need faith. This is a fact.

Yes, this is a fact and its one that any sane Christian will agree with. There is no TANGIBLE evidence God does not exist either.

3. Plenty professed Christians are wicked. You have no right to tell someone what they believe or dont believe in. This is a fact.

Plenty professed non-believers are wicked...you have no right to tell someone what they believe or don't believe in. This is a fact.

4. The believe in God is linked to much blood (religious wars) This is a fact

Ancient history is full of wars over land and power that were carried out by both religious groups and pagan groups. This is a fact.

5. To say "God is fake" is the opposite of saying "God is real" It's nothing wrong with saying "God is fake" This is a fact

So why do you care if Christians say...God is real. No one can make you believe something you do not want to believe. I have yet to see a YA answer person at my door with shackles and chains telling me I have to become anything.

Grow up, go back to school, study history (from more than one viewpoint) and leave us Christians alone.

Muslims are not atheists.

1.plenty atheists are evil.this is a fact.

2.there's no tangible evidence God does'nt exist. but logically, there has to be a First Cause for the existence of the universe(Law of cause and effect--that's scientific.)the universe had a beginning.before even time existed, what(or who) could start a beginning?only some sort of intelligence.this is a fact.
furthermore...
a)every event has a cause
b)all beginnings involve an event
c)the universe had a beginning
d)this implies an event
e)an event implies a cause
f)a cause beyond time and matter would have to be eternal and intelligent
g)the cause is and was God

GOD=the First Cause behind all effects

also...
a)all complex design requires a designer
b)the universe exhibits complex design
c)therefore it had a designer

this is not tangible evidence,it is logic.
any ignoramus can cite tangible evidence(without even understanding it).
it takes a person of intelligence to cite logic.
you are prepared to cite tangible evidence but not logic.
my conclusion: you are an ignoramus.
this is a fact.

3.plenty proffessed christians are very good.you have no right to tell christians what they believe or don't believe in.you are doing this right now.so are other atheists.you are a hyprocrite.this is a fact.

4. the belief in God is linked to much charity.this is a
fact.

5.to say ''God is real'' is the opposite of saying ''God is fake''.there's nothing wrong with saying ''God is real'' .furthermore there's nothing logical with saying ''God is fake''(refer to point 2.).this is a fact.

I have now presented the facts from a christian(and logical) point of view.

my conclusion:why do atheists pretend to offer truth and get so upset when confronted with it?
or,as you so nicely put it,why do atheists feel attacked by christians simply telling the truth?
and P.S.,thanks for the the two points!

First of all you take the idea that you have the truth, any time someone starts out telling me they have the truth and I don't its an attack.

As to your points, true plenty of alleged believers are wicked, so are plenty of redheads, moot point.

2. There is no tangible evidence that G-d does not exist, so null point there as well.

3. Is the same as 2. You say I have no right, are you assuming I am wicked?

4. belief in G-d has been used an excuse by those wicked people you mention. last time i recall it was about 500 years ago, and even then the Crusades had little to do with religion and much to do with second sons who couldn't inherit land needing an excuse.

5. Nothing wrong is relative, using that argument i can say there is nothing wrong with saying the theater is safe so there is nothing wrong with yelling fire in a crowded theater.

bottom line, if i went around killing people and said it was for you, would that make you wicked? I think not, do not blame all believers for that actions of a foolish minority.

1 - Sure, many theists are wicked. But some are also pretty nice and kind. Just because somebody believes in some sort of divine being(s) doesn't mean that they follow a specific moral code regarding how to treat other people. When the line is crossed, that's when freedom should be defended by legal action.

2 - Absense of evidence is not evidence of absence. Just because we haven't found a divine being(s) doesn't mean that he/she/it/they aren't there. But, on the other hand, there is no proof of the existence of unicorns, mogwai, or Dick Tracy, either.

3 - Yes, Christianity, being a missionary religion, does tend to have the loudest voices and largest numbers that try to tell people what to think and how to act (at least, that's true here in the U.S.). When this is an attempt to influence culture, and injecting ideas into the culture is not a bad thing in and of itself. When this is an attempt to control politics in a country that prides itself on giving the people a freedom of conscience concerning private religious belief, then it is both unpatriotic and, arguably, anti-human.

4 - Religion has often been used to gain support for wars, but has very rarely been the cause in and of itself.

5 - If "fake" is the opposite of real, then fake would be functionally identical to "nonreal." If that's what you mean, then to make the positive statement, "The existence of God is not true," you would need a logical or empirical proof to demonstrate this fact. That's not the same as saying, "There's no reason to believe in God," and "Therefore we shouldn't."

Given that no theist has ever, to my knowledge, come up with a definition of "god" that makes him open to empirical testing, you're stuck with a logical attack. But, all logical attacks I've ever seen target the traits usually associated with deity, and completely fails to account for non-monotheistic religions.

I do not feel attacked but I do disagree on a couple of points:

1,2, 3 Agree

4. Most war is about dynastic and economic power religion is used as a justification. If it was not religion it would be racism, classism, nationalism, etc.

5. To say that God is fake IS the opposite as saying God is real, and you are right there is nothing wrong with it. BUT I would disagree if you would say that the this is a fact afterwards was saying God is fake is a fact. But is is a fact that there is nothing wrong with saying it, so can you clarify that final statement.

The only thing Atheist should watch out for is saying that the their belief that God is fake is a fact. The have no more way of knowing that then Christians having of knowing God is real. And they sound just like them when they claim to know with just as much arrogance as the Christians claim to know.

PS for the record on the stance I am religious

Because we believe just the opposite of what you believe, but attack away. We can handle you. Your facts are different from our facts. Your facts are man's facts. Our facts are God's facts. So just the facts man.

1. Read 1 Peter 4:17,18 and Read II Corinthians 11:13-15, even God says Satan is in the church. FACT

2. Without faith it is impossible to please God. half fact here, because some have heard the voice of God. Some dream dreams and some see visions

3. Yes plenty of Christians are wicked, but II Timothy 3:16,17
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
that the man of God may be perfect,
thoroughly furnished unto all goodworks.
God's word said you have plenty right to tell people what to believe and what not to believe as long as it is in the Bible.
We are even to test the spirits against the word of God because many false prophets are out in the world. 1 John 4:1
Only half fact here.

4. Fact

5. This is not a fact

2007-03-24 04:24:08 · answer #6 · answered by Jeancommunicates 7 · 0 0

1, 2, and 4 are facts.

3 starts out correctly. However, it is not somehow a fact that people have "no right" to do something just because you say so.

5 is not correct. It is not a fact that "god is fake". If it is a fact, prove it. Whether or not you or I believe in god, if we claim that god is not real, it then becomes our responsibility to provide evidence for our claims.

Here are answers to your points:
1. I agree, but that us NOT a proof that God does not exist, only that the self-proclained God believer does not live according to His commandments
2. No proof?.....How about the whole universe?. NASA has proved that it is 13.5 billion years old. . This is a fact (on your Yahoo search engine, write "NASA photograph of the infant universe")
What was before that? Who created it?
3.see answer 1
4. People have used the name of God to do bad things. Big deal! that proves again answer 1
5. You can say what you like. No problem. The real problem is: Are you sure there is nothing after death? That you will not have to render an account of what you did in yur life? As father Corapi said once: "you don´t believe in hell....don´t worry, .....you´ll believe when you get there"
Please do not believe I am sending you there, only that there is a possibility that you´ll get there. Don´t wait to start believing and living acording to his will

Being christian and atheist are equally ridiculous. Faith is believing in something that is unknown. God is an unknown. This is a fact. Basically, if believing in God is ridiculous than believing there is no god is ridiculous, because it can't be proved either way.

And since it is impossible to prove the existence of God, we must all be ridiculous forever. Unless of course you accept the possibility of both.

Plenty of people in the world are wicked, not just those who believe in God. You aren't stating facts here, you're simple stated more anti-religious propaganda. Quite honestly, I don't feel attacked by you, just annoyed by this type of nonsense. If you don't believe, fine. I'm not telling you what to believe, don't tell me. I don't care if you believe or not. Our job was to spread the word, it's done, if you deny Him, that's your choice, but don't spend you time trying to make believers stop believing with this type of "question", because its simply illogical and annoying.
