When your computer first starts up Windows Messenger should start. Log out of Windows Messenger and you will see a check box that says something like this, " Open windows messenger on start up," if it is checked uncheck it, and then restart your computer and it should work from there on.

Your Welcome

I hope that I helped

Easy as pie

Log into Msn
Go to Tools
Options
General Tab

Under the General Tab the first tick box says:

"Automatically run msn | Windows Live messenger when I log on to Windows. "

Simply remove the tick from the box.

Issue resolved.
