I agree with you 100%. They are lazy arrogant gits who switch on their cruise controls and switch off their brains.
Often they're the same people who demand that people already on the motorway should give way to them when they leave the entry slip roads, instead of they matching the speed of existing traffic.
People like Sadie 69 are obviously uncomfortable driving on motorways and uses lorries and ruts as an excuse for CLODing. (CLOD = Centre Lane Only Driver). I say that if someone is uncomfortable on a motorway then they shouldn't use them. Why should they make the rest of us suffer?

I agree, it's so annoying, the motorways would be a lot less congested if slow people used the inside lane, they are just worried about getting caught behind lorries I think so they treat the middle lane as slow, very lazy!! Also, sometimes you overtake people in the middle lane and go into the inside lane after, and they wake up and follow you, so i think sometimes they have switched off and on auto-pilot, v dangerous!!

They do it because they're either lazy or nervous drivers, they can stick to one lane all the way - no changing lanes to let the traffic in from the slip road and no moving out the way for the normal drivers who can then overtake in the fast lane.
We should rename it 'the hassle free lane for crap drivers!'
thats a bit of a mouthful though, better stick to 'the middle lane'.

Things aren't any better in the US. We have these 6 lane highways where people in the extreme left lane will cut off 5 lanes of traffic to make the exit on the extreme right lane. No signals warning or anything.

In truth, they are lacking the ability to drive correctly, maybe even true confidence for driving. They possibly think, if I sit in the middle lane, I don,t need to manoevre when I,m going to overtake, and as I,m frightened when I,m forced for whatever reason to enter into the outside "FAST" lane, no I,ll just sit here in false safety, and let the reckless world overtake me. I believe this is how they think. We who keep in the correct lane, correctly manoevering to overtake, completing the move by moving back into the appropriate lane, we are the drivers they consider dangerous, always lane changing!

those human beings have been getting on my nerves ever because of fact the motorways first opened. a chum and myself regularly drove 2 automobiles long distances, late at night. while we discovered this variety of driving force, and there grew to become into no different site visitors around. Then one individuals might overtake the motor vehicle, pull into the middle lane, and gradually decelerate. the different one might stress alongside interior the exterior lane. We each so often got down to as sluggish as ten MPH in the previous the fool might flow to the interior lane. Then we would the two flow to the interior lane, and strengthen up away, observing in our replicate. If he pulled out back, we would repeat the workout. a minimum of it bumped off the boredom on long journeys, and in line with possibility a number of them have been given the belief.

i am talking regarding u.s. on a highway with threelanes(typicaly on a city by-pass) the right lane was meant for vehicles getting on and off the highway, the center lane is for travel and the left is for passing but most people don't know this...if you travel in right lane on a three lane road you are constantly having to watch traffic coming on and slowing or trying to get over..that is the reason why

Overtake when its safe to do so then, with loads of clearance pull over to lane one. They might get the message. Traffic cops do issue tickets in Surrey, for unreasonable driving and that hurts as its 40 big ones...

Because the police don't enforce the law if more people were given tickets then they would start to think more but like most things the fines are not big enough so it doesn't matter to them even when they do get caught

highly annoying and it can be highly dangerous , the police should take a harder line with these drivers and the Govt should spend some time on a publicity programme to highlight the problem
