I have had MANY failed attempts on finding an adquate anti-virus software. I've been met with viruses 'dressed-up' as anti-virus programs and had a lot of trouble deleting them. I've also met up with anit-viruses that are no use at all and are unable to detect any viruses. Can anyone please recommend a good anti-virus that is useful?

It relies upon on which software has extra as much as date "virus definition" documents. Any answer is a guess. i might guess the av-xp is physically powerful except the McAfee utility is up thus far too. counting on the severity of the an infection, that is superb to depart it on my own. Anti virus utility has visit pot than the virus themselves.

AVG free addition has been an excellent anti virus software for me and I recommend it highly.

Try avast! home edition. Its better than AVG and has a network shield and internet shield. It has also won the virusbtn 100% award many times and is free. Its also lightweight and doesnot slow down your PC.

I'm gonna guess your talking for free right? u get what u pay for, but in my expierence i like spybot and Avast..(spybot should be run in safemode)
