you can't. going after a guy who is dating your friend is just wrong. if it isn't meant to be between the 2 of them, it will end soon enough, then you can talk to him about getting together... but make sure you talk to your friend first, adn explain that you respected her enough not to make a play for him while they were together, but now that they aren't, you'd like to hang out with him and see if it develops.. men will come and go, it's your friends who are forever.. don't screw up something with one of your friends over some guy.. and if he IS going out with her to be closer to you, what does that say about his character?? sounds pretty sh*tty to me.

You really think a lot of yourself, don't you?
Ever consider that its possible that he doesn't like you anymore?
Regardless, you better wait until he dumps your friend before you signal anything to him, or you WILL lose your friendship.

Not possible. If you liked him you should have went out with him before your friend did, but you didn't. Girl's like you never know what they want until someone else has it.

You'd be stabbing your friend in the back if you aren't honest with her, yourself and to him. Just tell them both what is going on so you can have closure.

Why your trying to enter into a complex relationship? You can't force anybody for your wish. Really, there is nothing which should do.

She's got him now. You have to respect that. Let him
be the one to talk to you when he's ready.

I doubt he is using her like you said. Just let their relationship run its course.
