I did well in school, but am older now and have forgotten many basic math skills. I would like to get caught up so I can go back to college. Are there any good websites you know of to help? Thanks!

Mathematics is made up of rules, the more you understand the basic rules, the easier picking up new forms of mathematics will be, not to mention many forms of science that use tons of algebra.
I am 31 and starting school this fall and have spent a lot of time to make sure that I am ready for the challenge. I have bought Chemistry and Biology books off of eBay and spent months becoming a bada** at algebra.
There are many web sites that you can use to improve your math skills. I will list some below, and you can choose which ones help you. Another suggestion is to find a High school level algebra book and work through it. Maybe you have kids that are in Algebra and you can borrow their books or look online and buy one off of eBay.

I'm not so sure about websites, although I know there is one to help study with math skills, the army uses it, and it's open and free to evrybody, but can't remember what it is. However, most community colleges offer FREE adult learning classes to help with skills such as math and reading. I go to Lincoln Land Community College and I know they offer it. Also, sometimes local Unemployment offices have classes to refresh reading and math skills for retraining purposes. So call your local community college and unemployment offices and see what you find. Also, the office of Superintendents of schools in your area may have information regarding this. Good Luck!
