Well, most readers, like me, want the book to capture their attention. And to keep them interested, with a good introduction and an end that keeps you thinking. A book tha tyou read a chapter and you wonder," Hmmm what's going to happen next?" It helps if you can realte to the charecter and connect. It also depends on what kinds of books they like, such as romance. They want romance. Adventure, they want adventure. Hope that helps:)

I read constantly and the books I like most are characters that are so developed that you feel you know their true self. The plot surrounding the characters draws you in so much that you are disappointed almost when you read the last page. You've fallen in love with these characters you've come to know and want to know what becomes of them even after the ending.
