The H comes from the supposed LATIN. The Catholics take communion with wafer disks inscribed with the initials IHS. It is supposed to stand for the first three letters in Jesus’ name. However the Babylonians used the same round wafer disks with the same initials that then stood for Isis, Horus, and Semerimus.

I think it might be a reference to his body on the cross kind of forming an H shape. When I use the Jesus H Christ reference I add the additional "on a popsicle stick" phrase for emphasis. I like to use the "Jesus H Christ on a popsicle stick" phrase because 1) I find it funny and 2) it pisses off holier-than-thou religious hypocrites.

It was Herbert. He never liked it so he never used it, but every once in a whil, it would come up and the other kids would tease him about it so bad that he couldnt stand it. Mary and Joseph caught so much hell from Jesus, when he was growing up, because of this name, that they eventually dropped it and just starte calling him Messiah. Or J.C. if you prefer

Since the H is used when one is using the Lords name in vain, the H probably stands for Hell which is were one would go for profaining the Lords name and not excepting Jesus as Saviour...

I think it's just there as an add on, kinda like Michael J. Fox (who was born Michael Fox), to make him sound more intelligent and professional. It's like those people who wear glasses they don't need.
