I have had a really good male friend for about three years. I always got the impression he really liked me as more than a friend but I was living with somone at the time. I can tell him anything and confided in him when my relationship broke down. He was fully supportive and did what he could to help me, mainly listening. Now though, I am starting to feel things are changing between us. He asks me if I want a new relationship yet and keeps being a little flirtatious. He wants to know if I have found another place to live yet. He will do anything for me and I am starting to see him in a different light now. I only see him about once a month because he has a really good job that takes up a lot of his time but when I do see him we talk for ages and we laugh and joke a lot and he's always got a big smile on his face. Our friendship is becoming more fun and he tries to embarrass me in cute little ways. Am I reading the signs correctly - does he want a relationship with me?

Girl, go 4 it! If you have a good man besides you that you can confide in and count on him for anything, and yet he's a person that you can trust & he's giving you little signs here and there to let you know he likes you, than you 2 should try going out. If he stuck by you with a relationship you had with another man- he's not only strong but he cares for you alot. There's noting more wonderful to just have a mate that you can do these things with. Your man-husband is not just those words but they have to fit in the following categories as well: Trust/good listener/caring,loving person/supportive etc... I think you 2 will go great together and have a good relationship.I hope this helps. I've been married for 6 years already and my relation still remains fresh.

He wants a relationship with you but maybe only as a friend for the time being. The good thing is, if it does turn into something more, at least you have established friendship first. And in the long run, the person who becomes your permanent man should be your best friend! Good luck to you!

I had a friend like that and we "tried" dating. It only lasted about 2 weeks because we felt like our relationship was really boring unless we were just friends. We couldnt joke with eachother anymore or anything. So we just went back to being friends. Also take into consideration that if he doesnt have much time now, he wont have much time after you're together either.

Seems to me with all the questions and comments that he is looking for more from you. They do say that some relationships that start out as friendships turn into the best lovers...hint! Hint! If you are unsure about him wanting a realtionship with you, then ask him.

No. I think your old pal is after amusement at the cost of friendship, if you don't mind. To have friendship and relationship are both different issues in life and one has to decide in the light of experiences to minimize sorrow and guilt. To take a thing lightly for the time being presuming it does not affect you and later on brooding over it for its negative impact is not wisdom. So let us maintain different levels in our relationships for convenience and mental peace.

he's hung up on you but BE WARNED to only ask him if you're sure you want a long-term relationship with him,
otherwise you could risk losing a great friend if he admits and you aren't sure you're ready or you want to (been there before when i was naive enough not to guess and it's not pretty).
The key thing is to ask yourself is: are you attracted to him? Three years and no spark is a long time...

I can't speak for him, but dont force anything out of it.. Just let everything fall into place and be patient. Friendship is a great thing and it does sometimes turn into more but only time will tell

It sounds like he adores you--and is giving you many signs to tell you this. He sounds like a wonderful person and if you have feelings back, I would go for it. If you are having fun with him and can tell him anything and he will do anything for you--you two sound made for each other!! Good luck!!

it sounds like it put it out there as a joke if he said to you again are you looking for another relationship yet say "why you offering "and that should bring out any truth without spoiling a really good friend ship.

ya it really sounds like he does... if i was you i would just give it a try and see what happens go on a couple of dates and take it slowly.. u may just end up wanting to stay just friends and you never know he could end up being your soul mate
