family issue?

My mom is a guardian person over me and i can not do anything like shop and watch tv. spend my money and have to ask permission. Why is she doing things that won't let me do things. So what if she is a guardian or not. Now she is putting me in the hospital because she thinks that I have a mental issue on cursing. But I have stopped cursing. What to do>

Hi Svetlana..First of all you have left some issues out that one needs to know on your issue. This is your mother unless you have been to court and they have appointed her to become your guardian. This is what's puzzling..If your parents have become divorced then the courts appoint your mother/father to be your legal guardian. I'm not really understanding on why you would specify that your "mother" is your guardian when she would be anyway. Now if you are a minor under the age of 18, then your mother is responsible for your actions and the welfare for you. Now I grant you that some parents are over bearing to where they are very strict on where their children buy their clothes etc...You didn't specify your age so I'm just assuming you are a minor. I am confused on the reasoning that your mother has for placing you in the physic ward for just "cursing". That doesn't sound quite right. If this is the reasoning she has in admitting you to the hospital then I really don't believe the Dr's would agree, there must be another reason for this action. Now you had stated in your question that you could not spend your money. Do you work? Or is this a type of allowance that you are receiving? In my opinion, if you are employed then you should be able to spend your own money as you see fit with the exception that you buy what is needed and save what you really want for future things but this is my own opinion. Have you given your mother a reason for her to act this way by not letting you shop for things? There is a reason for everything, it may not always be a good reason but there is a reason on why people act the way they do. Show your mom that you are responsible in your actions. Do things around the house without being asked. Watch your attitude! Sometimes one's mouth overrides their butte' and we cop attitudes to where it's unnecessary. Tell your mom that you love her and you might see some changes on how she has treated you. Just remember this...What goes around,comes around so whatever you have done to her disrespectfully will come back on you. I can totally relate to your situation. I lost my parents when I was young. I was then put in foster care and would run away. Then I was put in a lock up facility, because they (meaning everyone) thought I was mentally unstable. I am 25 now and have gotten thru it, you just have to be strong and try and hang in there! I know it seems hard but believe it or not the harder things you go thru in life makes you a stronger person:) If you can just hang in there til you are 18 then you'll be alright. Parents just think they know what is best for their kids, and even though you may not agree just go with it. She may back off a little then!

Your mom is probably very concerned about you because you have changed in some way. Do talk to her and let her know how it is going at school. If anything, keep her informed and go for a walk with her. She seems bitter, but I am sure that can change. Hmmm... During dinner one day, especially when there are guests, visitors, tell it to her right the way you think of it. She will realize that you are growing and are bothered by her actions. Help around the house if you don't already.

Can I just say your mom sounds like a really over protective parent. I think it's normal for any parent to become over protective and they have every right to be, but when she starts putting you in hospital for 'mental issues' I think it's your mom with the issues. Maybe you 2 need to sit down with a councillor and see what the problem is. Maybe you should suggest boundries to her.

Talk to someone such as a counselor. At school or at
the place you said she is sending you to. She can only
put you there if they find that you really have problems.
I think she wants to keep your money and get rid of you.
Ask for a different family member to be your guardian.

I think there's a lot more to this story. Your Mom is probably trying to save some of your money for you for your future. You will thank her for that one day. Talk to your mom about how see is being so overprotective on you. Tell her it bugs you and it is very annoying. And there is no such mental issue on cursing too much.

Talk to your mom about how it makes you feel when she pushes you around like that. I mean, moms are supposed to be a LITTLE overprotective, that's their nature, but this sounds like too much. Talk to a trusted adult or trusted family member about this. Who knows, maybe your mom is just afraid to let you grow up! Try to talk to her and act maturely to show that you aren't a baby any more and can be trusted!
