How can I be sure he won't dump me just like he did with all those other women ? We have been together a year and a half and our relationship goes thru changes just like anyone else's. How do I know he is in it for marriage ?

Ick, please do not take offense, but why on earth would you want someone who couldn't make it work with 2800 other people?

You're asking the WRONG question here!
You should be asking if YOU should marry someone who has dated 2800 women.
How do you know this number? Did he tell you? And how did he keep track? Did he keep a tally or a little book with details? The number boggles the mind.
But why on earth would you want to be with a guy whose penis has enjoyed and entered and pushed the insides of 2800 vaginas?
LATER:
OK, so you want a really serious answer.
You want to know if he's in it for marriage.
Well, just the fact that you even mention that he's (allegedly) been with all these women means that based on his past you are insecure about the future of the relationship.
I mean, you didn't just ask if he's in it for marriage. You added that piece of information about the 2800 women.
I think that without knowing it, your question answered your own question already.
Something might be happening already that leads you to believe that he might go back to his old ways. Deep down inside a little voice is telling you to be very careful and that something is off. Your question really implies that something is wrong. But maybe you just can't put your finger on it yet.
What I'm trying to say is that you should ALWAYS listen to your intuition, your gut feeling. The way you phrased your question really shows that your gut feeling tells you to be careful before you get hurt.
Good luck!

does it really matter the number of people or not. what if he was married before? would that make a difference. if you want this to work then the both of you must make it work regardless. before you marry you need to probe for some information. Can he accept you the way you are for the rest of his life? what is that he wants out of the marriage? where do he see himself and you two as a couple in 2 years? then to keep him on his toes come back with the 5 yr. plan and so on.

ask him if he is in it for marriage!???? has he cheated in a yr and half? has he broken off engagements before? if so, why? communicate with him, you are gonna marry the guy for gods sake, be open with him!everybody has to settle down at some point, so maybe now is his time. past is past and just enjoy the now with him. you must mean a lot to him if this relationship has stuck for this long.

Why would he tell you that? Plus, no one ever says the real number, you need to low-ball your answer a little bit, so you don't look so easy. The real number is probably more like 5,000. Seriously though, either number is ridiculous.

whatever. why would YOU want to marry him? how many baby-mamas does he have?? he might not have an STD now, but did he ever? i highly doubt that you could believe him with those numbers. why would a guy who seriously loves you keep count of all those women? i doubt if he even got their names. run, run , run as fast as you can. he's a liar and a male whore.

Is that counting you? Maybe it's just 2,799 - whew! - had me worried there for a second. Sure he'll marry you. Then he'll cheat on you and you will have the divorce process to enjoy. Have a great time!

I seriously doubt he's dated 2800 women and if you believe that maybe you should reconsider what you want out of life. And as far as 'knowing' whether he is in it for marriage, you don't, welcome to reality.
