When my husband finally returns home from Iraq in August we are talking about starting a family. I am looking for advice on starting to eat healthier. I am at a healthy weight and I work out at least 5 times a week but a lot of my calories are coming from candy and junk food....its just so good :) A pregnancy is probably still a while away but I want to get into good habits before it happens. Does anyone have any good books, websites, advice to help me change some of my bad habits????

Keep working out, try to cut back on the candy and junk food by replacing it with fruits and veggies. Go ahead and start taking an over the counter prenatal vitamin. Good Luck and THANK YOU TO YOUR HUSBAND for being in Irag. GOD BLESS HIM AND YOUR FAMILY! :)

I don't know of any books or websites, but you should start taking folic acid, it is crucial in the first three months of pregnancy for the baby to develop properly, and not get Spina Bifida. Just eat lots of fruits and veggies and lean meats. Just eat healthy, and exercise. Too much intense exercise can reduce the odds of conception too.
