In the left hand side of your limewire window there are different formats when you download ,there are audio, video
select the audio and see if your file is present ,then you can right click it and press on the download option.
Now to play the file you gotta store it from Limewire to some other location ,this can be done by right clicking the file and select the browse option ,then this will take you to a default location where the audio file is stored ,afterwhich right click the file and select open with option and then select WINAMP,WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER OR REAL PLAYER etc.
For best results type in the name of the song with a .mp3 or wav after the song .for e.g I want to break free.mp3 should be typed instead of I want to break free.

Click my computer, then Tools, then Folder Options, then File types, then scroll down to mp3 and select it, then click change and select you media player you want to use to open the audio file...now it will be automatically associated with media player as an Audio file.
Make sure the files you are downloading say MP3 OK.
Stay away from WMA files...most are right protected anyways and you can't play them because all the licenses are used up to play them! Don't believe me? Try it...LOL
