I think blonde tips can look great! But doing them yourself can potentially go disasterously wrong! So if you want to go for it, ask your hair dresser to do it for you!
Rather than just getting your tips done, you could go for hi-lights, but dont get bright blonde ones, as my close friend went for this option and is now known as 'the badger'!
Seeing as your hair is quite dark, go for more honey sort of tones.

I don't think it would look nessecacirily look "tacky" BUT I would go with something a little more stuble maybe a light brown/dark red. If you want to fo something blonde right now i's in style do have the entire under part of ur hair blonde, that wasn't a very good description...so like when u put ur hair up in a hair tie the unpper half of ur hair will dark brown while the bottom part will be blonde!

I highlight my hair with blonde streaks. Just make sure you go to a reputable salon who will do a good job in blending your highlights with your natural hair or else you will have white highlights and dark hair. If you were thinking about just blonding out the "tips" then I would say that looks tacky but putting highlights would look nice. Good luck-

i think that it would look tacky..but personally i think tips look tacky in general..try getting like a caramel goldish blone highlights in your hair not thick ones but like 8-12 thin ones..that would look great with your curly or straight hair and will look super hot with your hair color. I am a hairstylist and so i know what is good for your hair..trust me tips arent that good looking, i hope i helped and i wish you the best of luck. it should only be about 35-50$ for highlights and thin ones.

It seems good on very few human beings. in case you at the instant are not a organic blonde, then i might propose highlights in basic terms. additionally, in case you flow the highlights or bleach bonde path, assume to be interior the salon a minimum of as quickly as a month for touch ups. the only element tackier than bleach blonde hair is bleach blonde hair with darkish roots.

You shouldn't get blonde tips because it looks tacky. Not that I'm trying to be mean but I'm just giving you my opinion. Maybe you should go for something darker. Hope I helped!
Good Luck!!

I wouldn't do blonde tips because like you said, it might look tacky, or unhealthy. If you want to do something different with blonde hair, try highlights!

If you get the right colorist who can make it look a certain way that is kind of a cool stylish look then go for it. I wouldn't go platinum or anything but a more redish blonde would look good.

Do what you want, you are the one that wants it done, try it out, if its only on the tips, you can always cut it off later.I did big chunks on my hair and I am the only one that liked it, they said.. then with in a week I seen it every where.LMAO

I say tacky, it will look like you dyed your hair blonde a long time ago and it grew out. Go with highlights, or full color.
