If your are going to be going ashore and really want to experience Alaska I would bring rain gear, since southeast is a rain forest after all. If you're wet and cold every time you go ashore the experience wont be as enjoyable!

Be prepared for a wide range of temperatures and weather. It may be warm and sunny one day and then pour down rain the next...or both in the same hour! May can be cold still, so be sure to bring long sleeves, sweatshirts, and maybe even hat and gloves.

Also, if you already know which excursions you'll be going on pack for those. If you're going fishing make sure to bring some warm clothes for out on the boat. If you'll be visiting the glaciers have those gloves and a hat along with a warm jacket on hand. If you'll be going for a hike make sure to bring waterproof or water-resistant shoes that are sturdy.

I would check the 10 day forecast a few days before your cruise begins and then pack accordingly.

We went to Alaska 3 years in the past on a cruise. it particularly is going to be chilly on the sea. while we've been ashore in Juneau I wore a ski parka. 3 days later I walked around Ketchikan in a tee shirt, yet plan on chilly.

bring some formal to semi formal attire, normally cruises have fancy dinners arranged for their guests.

We didn't know we were supposed to bring something fancy, we came in jeans to the dinner while everyone else was dressed so nicely! Yikes!

hope that helps!
