When did Christ ever seek conflict? Yes, acting like Christ is definitely more important than memorizing the Bible. That was his point to the Pharisees. THey did everything right according to the Bible, all the rituals, etc., but were really not good people. He pointed that out many times.

Yes, actions (and the meaning behind them) are more important than words.

The real question is, can a person live a life as Christ would and not be a christian? Because if you believe the words then they can't.

memorizing the bible is not necessary, but it is necessary to have at least a working knowledge of the Plan of God.
As for your question, both folks could be copying Christ, it depends on the situation.
Christ for example sought conflict when he turned over the moneychangers tables in the Temple.

Neither is more important than the other, becuase in my opinion they both hold the same amount of importance. The bible is your daily guide to life, and in it it has answered all the questions man can desire. But the bible also says that we should strive to be more and more like Jesus.

All of the bible was written AFTER Christ had died. To follow the bible is not what Christ did.

Christ was Jewish. If one wants to follow Christ and to be as he was, that person should first be Jewish.

Then, after being Jewish, follow that religion, that is what Christ did.
