Ok, I have these little red bumps on my upper arms, and they have been there for about 2 years. My doctor says that they are harmless, just a skin condition where my skin is very dry and gets clogged up. Do any of you have this problem (i heard its common) and do you have a good way of getting rid of them?

Yes, IT is very common. -Called keratosis something, I forgot the last part, sorry - I went to see a dermatologist and the only thing he recommended is a special lotion called Amlactin - You can purchase at your local pharmacy. But I did some research on the web and found this body wash and lotion - I purchased from Glow.com $50.00 for the pair a poof. I just love it, it stings the skin at first and it will not totally take them away but it does wonders.

Just keep lotion on your skin. Every day, lotion, lotion, lotion. It'll put the moisture back in and hopefully the bumps will start to get a little better. But the drier your skin is.. the worse they'll get.

I have them too, and have for 7 years. They come and go. Just exfoliate very well, and use a good moisturizer, I use ecurine(sp??) It's a really thick lotion. Put a lot on and do it often.

Yes I had it for several months a couple of years ago and they just went away themselves. Also I remember my cousin had them after her wedding for a while but now she don't anymore. I don't think either one of us got treatment or used something for them. I guess give them some time, try changing your diet, and try not to stress and see what happens.

my friend had that problem your dermatologist should give you a prescription for it . whether they say it is harmless or not you still dont want them so ask them to write you one...whatever my friend got made them go away fairly quickly. good luck
