Consistency is key.
Take the dog out every hour then gradually lengthen the time. If you're going to be out of the house for some time you definitely want to crate train the pup. They typically won't soil their bed but if you're gone too long they may. If he does potty in his cage don't get onto him just take him outside immediately. Set a routine. I take my girl outside everytime I walk in the door (even if I'm only gone half an hour), in the morning, just before bed, and about every four-six hours in between.
Consistency goes for the jumping too. If it's not okay sometimes then it shouldn't be okay anytime.

I have a 5 month old Golden and we are at this stage. With my older dog, I always kept some treats by the door and when he would go out and come back in, he would get a treat. He would run to the door every 15 minutes!
Jumping is a big issue too with the new puppy and we put our hand out and say, "No. Don't Jump." I have heard to keep the commands short. If he doesn't jump then praise him and give him attention. If he continues to jump then keep telling him no but do not pat him. Wait until he is calm and then give him some sort of praise and maybe a treat.

set the puppy on a schedule ! evy 2 hrs to 3 hrs and praise the pup with a treat evy time he/she goes outside. You can also crate the pup at night . Dogs will not soil its bedding.
I have 2 dogs and i breeded a liter of 8 . My pup did wonderful with the schedule, but you have to be dedicated and stick to it. after a bit he or she will tell you when it has to go.

make sure you give him ample oppurtunites to go to the bathroom where you want him to. everytime he does reward and praise him. eventually he will realize he gets praised when he doesn't pee in your house. for jumping, you have 3 options. 1. everytime he jumps punish him and force him back down to all fours 2. catch his front paws when he jumps and back him into a corner or against a wall. backing up on two legs is very awkward for them and might correct his ways.
3. completely ignore him. that means when he is jumping up because you are home just ignore him until he is sitting. no verbal or physical attention until he is in the state/position you want him. the problem with this method is that you must make every person who comes in contact with him completely ignore him. a combination of these 3 tips got my chow/lab and my hyper border collie to be calm when i first get home. good luck

I think you should go to your local pet store and ask for some potty-training spray or you could put mews paper down and block off your dogs access to any carpet or plastic, meaning bags. And for your jumping problem just block off doorways.
