no you cant both only have subframes for the front end. the rest of the frame is part of the body (unibody construction)

No way. Wrong platform.

Those cars are unibody anyway... the structure is not separatable from the frame.

A 95-97 Contour to 98-01 Contour, probably, but Tempo (Mercury makes the Topaz) has a completely different shape. I would know I used to own both (85 Topaz, 96 Contour)

Yes, with enough time and money you can do anything, but from a practical view its not worth the time and energy
