My 2 1/2 year old and running a low grade temp and she says her mouth hurts. Does anyone know if she could still be teething, and is there anything such as 2 year old molars that come in about this time?

Yes she is getting her 2 year old molars. Yes they hurt more than the others. Get the baby Oregel out one more time. Let her have a Popsicle. After the teeth come in she will get no more until she starts losing her baby teeth when she is 5 or 6. Some of those will bother her but none as bad as her baby teeth until she gets to her wisdom teeth at about 18. So babies teeth on and off until about 18.

The last teeth to appear (the second molars, found in the very back of the mouth on the top and bottom) are usually all in place by a child's second birthday. By age 3, your child should have a full set of 20 baby teeth, which shouldn't fall out until his permanent teeth are ready to start coming in, around age 6.
You can also check her mouth to make sure there are no ulcers or sores in there. There is a common childhood illness called hand, foot, mouth. It is usually accompanied by a rash and fever.

Yes there are 2 year molars. I think that is it after that.

Sounds like teething to me. Our pediatrician says teething can happen whenever; there's nothing really unordinary about her teething at this time.
