I have had to remove a nest every week from my grill. Is there anything I can do to stop them from building there nest in my grill!

You could try plugging any holes with steel wool and covering the grill with a piece of sturdy hardware cloth. That way you can grill but keep the plugs and cloth in place rather than removing it every time you want to BBQ. Also placing a birdhouse or two up near the grill should keep them away. Birds can be persistent buggers so the hardware cloth may have to be done a couple of times before they get the hint. You want their present choice to become unsuitable and an alternative put up.

Another point you'll like - Keep bugging their nest spot. The more activity they see around the nest the more likely they are to find a new local. Most perching birds like peace and quiet during the breeding season and any chronic disturbance usually makes them move. Lots of strangers and activity around their nest spot is enough to drive most would-be parents to another yard.

go to your local pet store ask what materials finches use to make their nests , give the finches easy access to the materials and put screen on any holes in your grill to stop entry access and they will get the idea if you keep the nesting material abundant

Are you leaving your grill open? Have you tried covering it? You may need to move it, birds have a tendency to be territorial. Maybe you should try getting a bird house and putting it near THEIR spot. Or give them the grill and get yourself a new one. LOL
