I know I do a lot of male bashing at times. But I am gonna tell you a secret about men.
I didn't understand men at all. I mean I got fed up with trying to keep a relationship. I am lucky. I have a grown son who is 28. I ask him once in awhile why men do the things they do. He shed some light on some things. And this jerky break up games is just this.
The guy broke up with you for a reason. Even if the reason doesn't make sense to you. They do this to keep from getting hurt them selves. So they act like jerks to outwardly appear that they don't care. What it really means is, I am hurting to.

They do get hurt when a girl they like breaks up with them. That's is how some guys deal with it. Some try to push you away by being jerks and hurt you as much as you hurt them.

And women don't? I don't think it matters if it's male of female
breakups are a sign of failure and just about everyone takes it hard. I'm curious do you take breakups easily? Most of the time the person your breaking up with doesn't see it coming so there unprepared for it. The worst part is if they already found someone else which means they were looking while with the other person.

Because as males, we don't like losing. Losing someone in a relationship pisses us off. For awhile we tend to be jerks unless there is no testosterone in us. Then you have a little girl for an ex-boyfriend.

Because you obviously hurt him by breaking up with him, and he knows no other way to retaliate other than being a jerk. It's a stupid guy macho thing.

I'd pretty much say they are punks. When a guy would break up with me I would just show him what he lost & move on. Recently I had an ex want to get back with me now that he knows what he has lost out on. My advice to him?? Get over it, I did.

Its there way of covering the fact that you've hurt them and now they are trying to hurt you back. Being an a** is easy around your friends; showing your true emotions is very difficult to do.

well, guys and girls have different ways of showing emotion. even different guys have different ways. some guys just try to accept it and mope, while others get all pissed and act like a jerk.

maybe they are a little upset over the breakup and because u broke up with them might hurt their pride so they get back at you bye acting like that
