When I was in college, I signed up for a credit card and added my mom as an authorized individual. I am the primary account owner and I was wondering if there is anyway to remove my mother from the account without having to close the account and open up a new one?

Call your credit card company, Tell them why you wish to have
your mother removed from card. If you have concerns of credit card abuse they will either take her off immediately or
issue you a new credit card number. If you are in good standing this should not be a problem to change the number
on your existing account.

Contact the credit card issuer and ask that she be removed. It won't change anything accept she will no longer have access to use your account. There is no need to up a new accout unless she a joint borrower.

Contact in peson at your institution and lodge a written request.

If you want to deactivate immediately, call them up on their secured line and advise them to block the cards with immediate bank.

Normally, an institution will act upon your request with immediate effect, however, they may insist to put down your request in writing
