I would say, stay away from hypnosis. It may cover up the reason why you feel like this. Have you got a means tested counselling service nearby where you can discuss your feelings and get to the bottom of them? Well done though for seeing you have a problem, jealousy is a difficult one to spot.

self help is the best remedy ..Sit in front of a mirror ..search in your mind the thing or person that is triggering the jealousy..picture this and say out loud I refuse to be jealous over and over again.soon you will find this phrase will keep popping up in your mind every time you feel the jealousy creeping on..I found I was jealous of even the simple things like people just looking in the direction of my girlfriend when I was in my teens..It ruined many potential girlfriends that I had to find a way to curb it..It doesn't go away altogether but it helps you to control it..This is a form of self hypnosis...Try it you can't lose anything by trying..

if you are a jealous person, that wont change, you can just control it. the very best way to deal with a personal flaw is to accept it, say, god i am so wildly jealous;sorry, to the next person you are seeing, and he will stay with you as you know it is an issue. my boyfriend is so bloody incontrollably jealous but i know he is a million other things which are wonderful. accept it, because you can cover it up, but never change it totally. this may sound like crap advice, but the day i realised we dont actually change our bad points, i concentrated on my good points more.

If this problem is causing severe problems in your life with extreme consequences then i suggest you see a doctor and be refered to a therapist.
