It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses are not loved by everyone.
http://jw-media.org/newsroom/human_rights.htm
Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.

However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.

(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers

Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Many think we are pushy and while it is true some are a little over zealous when they are "young" in the evangelizing work, most Witnesses really just want to give you some good news that can lead to a real and positive future amid a very bleak world.

By way of an example, suppose you knew someone who was without a cure for a serious, chronic, debilitating illness and was suffering or will suffer ultimately from it, would you go to that one with a cure if you had it?
What if they dismissed it out of hand, even though you KNEW you had the cure?
Would you offer it to them only once, twice maybe? Or would would you repeatedly try to help them?

Jehovah's Witnesses seriously believe the Bibles promise that we are in the final days of Satans system and that Almighty God fully intends to call time on this evil world. We are duty bound by obedience to God and by love of neighbor to let others know that there is a judgment coming in which all who are against Jehovah will perish but all who want to can avail themselves of Gods provisions of salvation.

Many THINK they know what we are preaching and many decline to understand further, but just as the person with the cure for a dreadfull disease we don't give up on people just because they don't listen or believe us today, we will call again in an effort to help everyone until it is too late for anymore to be saved.

Incidently, many posters here have outright lied or given you mis-information. To know the truth you need to converse and assosiate with Witnesses. And please don't worry about being brain washed and all the other silly things that people will tell you happens if you start listening to us, it is simply not true. You cannot become a Witness overnight. It takes a lot of hard work and commitment to get to know the Bible, a year minimum of regular Bible study, a complete change of values and a personal and genuine dedication to Jehovah, that is just not possible for anyone to coerce you into.

Most people (as borne out by some of the comments) have been told lies about Jehovah's Witnesses, and that makes them scared. Please go to your local Kingdom Hall, meet up with witnesses there and judge for yourself. Or next time they knock on your door, invite them in and if you think they only teach what is in the NWT Bible (as some people I notice do), ask them to show you answers from your personal Bible. Jehovah's Witnesses are good honest people, who are trying to teach people the truth in the Bible and help them to come into a good relationship with God - is that so bad? Talk to one and find out for yourself.

Well the identical approach that we have got a private identify and could love to be referred to as via our identify as an alternative of Man, Woman, Boy & so forth is the identical approach that God feels. Psalms eighty three:18 says "May humans understand that you just, whose identify is Jehovah,You on my own are the Most High over all of the earth." The undeniable fact that his identify is stated within the Bible indicates God wishes his identify to be recognized & considering that we're his witnesses or fans, we're referred to as Jehovah's Witnesses.

people know nothing about Jehovah Witnesses. first place we do not knock on anyone door at eight in the morning. we don't leave the kingdom hall until after nine in the morning. we do believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah. we are not pushy. if you are not interested and tell us, we say have a nice day and leave. we have familys and live in our own homes. we may be your next door neighbor. many people say nasty things about us, that we are a cult and brainwashed. we are neither. a cult live together and worship man. on April 2 in 236 lands we will be celebrating Jesus Christ memorial. people ask the stupids questions about us and don't want to learn the truth. they ask why our kingdom halls don't have windows, the one that I go to does. I could ask why do churches have such fancy windows, because people that go there are paying for it. we don't have a plate that is past around, but we do have a box for money, to help pay the rent, electric and phone for the kingdom hall, but we don't have to. no one knows except Jehovah and Jesus Christ. www.watchtower.org

As a JW I know that we do believe in Jesus as the Messaih. But he is the son of GOD and our means to salvation. You guys should really pick up a bible and try... reading it. It will help you more than making your criticism based on websites and what others say. The internet only has possibly 20% truth in all its sites combined. Being a Christian, I won't take the time to criticize your religions, which I have found to have many, many and I mean many flaws (ex. Gay Priests and ministers).

I personally do not care.
Some people hate it because they do not agree.
Others just do not like the characteristics of the 1970 incident and how they build up how Jehovah Witness is right just because this one guy/girl said it would make the world perfect.

Did you know that the bible says that in the last days God's people will be persecuted and hated.
"Before all these things people will lay their hands upon you and persecute you , delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, you being haled before kings and governors for the sake of may name " Luke 21:12

Matt 5:11-"Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my [Jesus'] account."

Matt 10:22-"and you will be hated by all for my name's sake"

Matt 24:9-"you will be hated by all nations on account of My name"

Mark 13:13-"and you will be hated by all on account of My name"

You may have wondered why so many people seem to be against Jehovah's Witnesses with no real cause for doing so.

Jehovah's witnesses have been persecuted (executed and imprisoned) in over 50 nations for their preaching work.

Its not Jehovah Witnesses I have a problem with, but when you come to my door and try to preach to me about your beliefs and treat me like dirt because I dont believe what you want me to believe and you wont go away when I ask you to, then I have a problem.
See? Its not just Witnesess, its pretty much all religion.

There are quite a few reasons actually.
Many complain about our waking them up, most of our work in the field being in the morning.
Many feel we are pushing a religion on them and don't like it.
many know very little about any religion and are embarrassed at lack of education.
Many know the truth and don't want to do what they know is right. (Lazy)
Many false religions are positive we are wrong.........etc.
Talk with any JW at a Kingdom Hall of your choice.
We would be more than happy to have the chance to talk with you. In the mean time, check out our website!
