the same place all other restaurants get their food from..where that is I have no idea

Unfortunately, a central distribution center. They buy the lowest priced food from places like ADM which has already been processed. And that's what keeps the prices low, they buy cheap stuff and in bulk so they can "pass the savings on to YOU!" That's why the outbreaks lately have been so prevalent, all the same food comes from distribution center who all got it from the same place. It's also why all McD's food is the exact same. It's all the same beef, lettuce, etc.... That way they ensure consistency.
