I'm an environmentalist and always concerned about recycling as well as disposing waste materials. So far I haven't found a single way of dealing with waste batteries. Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks again!

For starters buy rechargable batteries, they are a little more money but you can reuse them over 1000 times. This will cut down on your waste material. Another option is when these batteries are done you can get them reconditioned sometimes depending on the type of battery. As for recycling and disposing of used batteries this is a tough one when your dealing with AAA or AA batteries but their are recycling depots for these types of batteries I'm not exactly sure how its done but I'm sure there is a way.

Hope that helps

East Devon District Council have given us plastic bags to put our batteries in, to be collected in our kerbside collection. However, they won't take cereal boxes! This drives me mad!
