Girls seem to worry about makng themselves vulnerable. What do they mean?

That means "develop strong feelings which they cannot control." Saying this is also a sneaky way to tell a guy that they aren't interested in being with someone or doing something.

Oh John,
Picture yourself giving all you have physically and mentally to one person. I mean all your time and energy. Your thoughts consist of this person. Pretty soon your home consists of this person. After that you got a ring. Then you got marriage. Then you got kids. Then you got hell! LOL
How ever. It can also be a nice and fun thing. Relationships are what you let it be.
But feeling vulnerable. Is from a persons inside. That's caused by being in too many serious relationships.

Relationships should be beneficial to both parties. There are some relationships that you cannot choose - like parents, siblings and your children. And then there are relationships which you knowingly enter into (all that sheeiet about falling into love is unreasonable, illogical and decerebral). Here one must not feel vulnerable or disadvantaged.
Lovers must just feel happy together.

It simply means opening up their heart and lowering their defences. This allows love and trust to develop. At the same time, if they meet some jerk, they will get hurt

They mean, just like men do, if they open up to you that means you can hurt them. So people play games in order to not really open up. They think it keeps them safe from getting hurt but it really just makes them an @sshole.
