Depending on the type of blinds you have verticals so that the binding faces outward & venetian blinds sloping downward, towards the window so that people outside can't see in. Last I checked there wasen't a rule book written on this one:-)

I don't think there is a "correct" way. Blinds seem to have a "good" side and "bad" side. The good side being more shiny/smooth. Which ever way you close them, you should do it the same way all the time. The sun will change the color on the blinds so if you like the darker side inwards, close them so the darker side is always inwards to avoid fading.

De pants what blinds ar if vertical open the veins in the stacking position and use the chain ,venation's use the tilt to open and the cord yo lifted up and down.

Turning them down makes it easy to wipe clean. Turning them up seems to make it darker in the room.
I think down they look correct. Vertical, I turn the best side in. But, this all my opinion.
