Sometimes it can take a couple of weeks for an infection in the lymph nodes to go away and make the lymph node go back to normal. If you do not see an improvement within 3 weeks then you should go back and see your Dr.

It can take awhile, first the antibiotic has to be in your system usually 2-5 days for it to start working for most antibiotics unless they are IV. Lymph nodes take the debris out of the body so if there is infection say in the sinus's, the neck nodes, the waterwheel node behind your ears, and the clavicle nodes at your collar bone would be working steadily to push the bacteria through so they could be swollen up to 2-3 weeks before they accomplish the goal with all the gunk out of your body.
