I feel your pain. What your feeling is 100% normal. My bf purchased my engagement ring about 4 months ago. We talked about getting married together to make sure we were both on the same page. Then he let me go with him to pick out the ring to make sure I got the one I really wanted. Now I'm just waiting for him to ask me, which it seems like is taking forever! I'm so anxious sometimes I don't know what to do with myself. So just wait it out, and good luck!

What you're feeling is normal... espically since the relationship you've been in is 4 years. I think every woman starts getting those "jitters" sooner or later. But don't worry too much about it. I'm sure he Loves you, and wants the proposal to be special! See- with men, they have to actual think about how to do things the right way, cause they don't wanna screw up everything. Just be patient, and he'll come around. And when he does, you'll feel so blessed and happy!
Good Luck
P.S- When your guy do proposes post a pic of the ring! (lol)

Yes it is normal to get the 'pre-proposal jitters'..
It was about a two month wait between when he mentioned it, and him proposing..
We had just booked a holiday, so i was guessing that he would do it when we was away - and i was right!!
It was during a trip to a small private island, in Dominica Republic... he started with saying how much he loved me, and how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me etc etc.. then took me to aside, and went down on one knee...!
The ring is beautiful, and wouldn't change it for the world...
lol, im sure you won't start breaking up... just maybe start thinking about a date, or how you would like the day to go.. location, theme etc..
Well you know its going to happen... so don't worry too much!
Good luck, im sure it will be perfect...

As normal as it is to get pre-wedding jitters. Nervous and excited at the same time. Calm down and don't worry! When the time comes you can ring shop together. Or one day whe you are out and about show him some rings you'd like. Don't try to pressure him. He brought it up so let him take it from there.

if you haven't been thinking about marriage, it may be a good idea to use this pre-engagement time to start discussing it. just calmly say to your bf something like "you mentioned an engagement the other day, i was wondering if we could discuss it." and then go from there, like what marriage means to you, how you see your future, etc. tons of marriages break up b/c the couple did not take the time to find out if their dreams were the same before the wedding.

A man does not like to make decisions .
I can tell you that I went out with my wife for 7 years before we married.
She was waiting & ended up telling me that we were to get married .
So you must do the same
some guys like me need pushing & wouldnt know what to do in respect of doing all the arrangements.
Tell him & you will be married in months
You might like to tell him that you have bought your wedding ring also.
Best wishes & good luck it will work

I would suggest that you have a talk with him if you do really have marriage in mind. Some guys may not even thought of it and keep dragging. Its better to communicate to know each other needs and future endeavors. Cheers.

He's going to propose shortly??!! What sort of romantic guy is this? A proposal is meant to be a wonderful surprise, not something you schedule in your diary.
O tempora, o mores!
