Absolutely. I used to have a Scottie who would pass gas while sleeping. It would not only produce a smell but a sound, much like humans, that would wake her up and scare her something awful. I swear she would project straight up in the air just like dogs in cartoons. Remember, dogs have digestive systems, like all other mammals that sometimes produce gas, which the body tries to expel. Therefore, farts!

Do dogs fart. Yes they fart!! Sometimes i have to check and see if its the dog or my husband. my puppy was sitting by the door whining when i look at him he looks at me and lets one go!! i was like nice. you have to watch what you give them to eat.

yes they do but its not the farting thats the problem its the smell ,unless your out in public and the dog lets one go then people think you did it

Oh Yes! They do! Specially if the diet is not quite right for them.
My dogs have farty days if they eat something different than usual....and it really stinks!!!
