Ok, I'm baffeled and I'm male. What the heck is the ring and how does it work? Never tought anything about it in highschool. Never tought anything about it in college. Supposely it's the best thing since sliced bread. But I have no clue about it. Any links or what not would help here. Some I know........seems to think it's almost bullet proof. If your really relgious and start posting about abstinence. Don't bother posting. Your wasting your time then.

It is a soft plastic ring that slowly releases the same hormones as the birth control pill. The woman inserts a new one each month, and leaves it in place around her cervix. In that respect, it occupies the position of a diaphram but it does not cover the cervix with a membrane.

It is more convenient than the pill since she does not have to remember to take one every day. It does NOT offer any protection at all from any STD, so it should not be used without a condom unless she is in a committed monogameous relationship with a tested partner.
