My computer was unplugged for several months. Now that I have it hooked up again, it will only boot into Safe Mode. I did the spyware/virus check and they found nothing. I tried rebooting and holding down the control button on startup but the screen that is supposed to come up with the boot choices never showed.

You don't have to press F8 to get OUT of Safe Mode. Just restart your computer and let it go through it's normal startup sequence. Pressing F8 will get you the menu to get IN to the Safe Mode, not required to get OUT.

As the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key" which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu", from which you can select your Windows load options.
