I've been with this guy for 4 years off and on. He is reculant to be in a relationship with me because he can't trust me.Thinks I'll cheat on him because in the past I did go through a phase of being quite easy (but we were never in a relationship besides being FWB so i've never technically cheated on him). But I'm tired of that game and haven't been like that way in years.
But he lies to me all the time, about how much he loves me and wants to start a relationship, but he never comes through. We'll make plans to do things and then all of a sudden his phone will be "messed up" and he'll claim he never got my call, or the messages I've left. Or he'll be working Overtime,it's always a lame excuse. I never buy into them, and on occasion will leave irriatated messages on his cell, but I'm not the drama queen type of gal so I hold back from being a complete spaz. He wants to have a 3-some w/ another guy, he apparently likes them but doesn't want to do it alone, I think he's a mo...

and...I have told him in the past and still do, that if he doesn't want to be in a relationship that's fine...and FWB is fine with me, but yet he continues to lie abotu loving and wanting to be with me...yet never comes through. I haven't talked to him in a few weeks...I've gotten to the point that I just don't want to try anymore but yet I'm still drawn to him.

whether he is gay or not doesn't matter to me. I don't look down on gay people, my best male friend is gay. I am just thinking he is trying to use me as a doorway into being gay. Like say...if he ends up not liking the experince I can be his fall back. But I refuse to be that doorway. If he wants to try it, he'll need to go at it alone. But yeah...I have pretty much given up on him. Ugh just now I need to find a new lover lol

First off it doesn't matter if he is or not.
Second, it sound like he isn't going to begin a serious relationship with you.
Third, if he cant trust you, there's no point in trying to make him think otherwise.
Lastly, it sounds like you need to move on and find someone else that can love you for being you.

He's obviously enjoying this fwb status. words are just words. he can say anything he likes but its what he does that counts. clearly, the things he's doing show that he's not interested in a relationship. i don't know if he's gay but he's certainly nowhere near serious about the 'relationship'.
