I purchased McAfee Internet Security Suite 2007 a few weeks ago from Staples. I downloaded the sofware to my computer. Everything works fine. My question is, if I turnaround and sell the same software on Ebay, with the software be able to be downloaded on somebody elses computer?

No, and that would be pretty dumb thing to do, if your computer crashes and you have to reinstall your software, how would you do that if you sold it to someone else.

If you don't like paying so much for protection. Then you should have downloaded AVG, which is one of the best free protections out there.

Well you have already installed McAfee on your computer once right? It is opened software. You already used the CD-KEY to install the software? Can you install it on more then one computer, do you have multiple licenses? If not your out of luck.

The virus protection will allow you only to install it so many times. Like my Norton virus protection can only be installed on 3 computers. It knows this by taking a snapshot of your computers hardware profile.

Unless you purchased it with more then one CD-Key or it allows you to intall the software on more then one computer, which you can do, it is not going to work. My Norton virus protection allowed me to install it on 3 seperate computers. McAfee may check though to make sure all the computers use the same ISP and have the same IP address to make sure you aren't giving the software to a friend or reselling it.

one thing ebay sellers do is:
Purchase McAfee software at bestbuy, staples ect..
(when software comes with a rebate that makes it free in the end)
They collect the rebate $
They sell the unused software on ebay minus the upc code (state that in your auction)
This is perfectly legal too.
