A 2 Megapixel camera should provide a better and more detail digital image. You can pickup a Camera these days for $150 with 6 Megapixel capability.

Neither, unless you're talking about a camera phone, in which case the average one is 1.3 MP.

If you're getting a handheld camera, go for at the VERY LEAST, five megapixels. 5-6 MP is the sweet spot.

it depends on the print quality that you are expecting.
a 2 mp camera will give you slightly more high resolution pictures which retain its quality under zooming conditions also, than a 1 mp camera...
also pictures taken with 1 mp camera will be of less size ...

Neither. Both are too old. My phone is 3 megapixel. You need at least a 5 megapixel to get a good picture suitable for printing a 5x7
