You pose an interesting question. The Messiah had to die for our sins if you read the Messianic prophecies. Jesus fits the bill perfectly.
As for the price of atonement it is not your place to say what makes the sacrifice pleasing to God. God was the one that was wronged and he set the price and I might add paid for it himself. Brief though Jesus death was it was considered the ransom we desperately needed. His Resurrection completes the cycle of the Messianic prophecies and is the final sign of Jonah that Jesus spoke of. Exactly who do you think resurrected Jesus? God.
As for the two thousand year old body "out there" that would be acceptable except for the Transfiguration of Christ when he left. Up to that point Jesus was "human" in all ways, but after he was in his "glorious body" or "transfigured body." We Christians believe we too will receive a new body after the Judgment.
Oh and Enoch never died by the way, but you are right all the other resurrected people of the Bible are all dead and buried again. I have never heard of another Resurrection since then, but that does not mean it did not happen.
Rhymes must have forgotten all the bodies resurrected at his death and were seen throughout the city.

Jesus did die and he did rise again. There were many witnesses to this fact. The Jewish and Roman leaders were very invested in proving Jesus' claims wrong. They posted guards at the tomb. Guards who would be killed for failing in their duty. He was seen by more than 500 people after his death. If these things had not been true there were PLENTY of people around who did not like his message and would have happily stepped forward to say, "He's not dead I saw his body." or "the claims these Christians are making are not true and this is why..." But no one did. The whole Christian faith would have easly been put to death in the first year if ANYONE had come forward to contradict their claims.
Also, all of his disciples went on to preach and die horrible deaths for these claims. A man may die for something he 'believes' to be true, but I have never heard of anyone dieing a torturous death for something they 'KNOW' to be a lie.
Jesus said that he would die and rise again in 3 days. Our physical bodies will decompose, but our spirit will be present with God until the resurrection. The resurrection of our bodies will happen at the last judgement.

Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us (1 Corinthians 5:7).
Wouldn't that be a hoot?
A 2000 year old physical man!
No, Christ was raised from the dead into a body that does not die.
And, we, if we are called, chosen, and faithful will also be raised into a body that does not die (1 Corinthians 15:52-55).
This first resurrection occurs after the tribulation which is the next major event to occur in our future. These are the good old days.

As doc Brown would say to Marty, "You're not thinking fourth dimensionally."
You're applying the limitations common to the creation on to the eternal creator.
You think God has your limitations? If you do, I may as well stop here, because you're incapable of thoughts deep enough to get your mind around the answer.
God is not limited by the properties of our 3 dimensional universe. He's outside the constraints of time, space and matter. He created the time-space continuum and exists outside the envelope of its laws which He designed.
1 Cor 15:44 clearly tells us about the nature of the resurrected body. It says that "It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body." (KJV)
Jesus' body at the right hand of God is such a body. It is no longer subject to the limitations of the 3rd dimension.
As a descendant of Adam, your dominion is this earth. Because I have been born from above into the family of Jesus Christ, my heritage has been changed.
That's why I'm looking forward to receiving a resurrection body, because unless I do, both my natural carcass and soul will remain with this earth.
This creation will be destroyed (2 Peter 3:12). By entering into the family of the patriarch in heaven (the only begotten Son of God) you can enter into life throughout the ages to come.
It just makes sense.

The only thing that is askew as you said is your mind. with all the mumble jumble you said here you don't even believe there was a Jesus Christ. Friend he did die for our sins & yes he was the messiah, which means the annointed one & delieverer, & yes he rose again from the dead, He is the firstfruit of the resurrection, & when he rose from the dead he was in a glorified state. And yes he went to heaven

Christians believe Jesus had two natures:physical and spiritual. The physical aspect had to die in order to prove, overcome, that the spirit is what's most important. It's the spirit that gives life to the body, not the body to the spirit. So, He did die physically but lived spiritually. Notice also that 40 days after the Resurrection he arose into Heaven physically.

Death by crucifixion was one of the most painful experiences imaginable, and Jesus' suffering on the cross was far more agonizing that anything most of us will ever have to endure.
But Jesus' physical suffering was only a sign of a much deeper kind of suffering He was enduring: the suffering of His spirit. When Jesus died, the face of His heavenly Father was hidden, and He was torn from the presence of God. He who had enjoyed unbroken fellowship with His Father in heaven from all eternity now faced Hell itself. This was His real agony—an agony far deeper than that which any other person has ever endured.
Why did He have to endure so much suffering? The reason is because all our sins were placed on Him, and when He suffered and died He was taking upon Himself the punishment we deserve. You and I only deserve judgment and hell—but He took our judgment and hell upon Himself. The Bible says, "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us" (2 Corinthians 5:21). He took your place!
Why did He do this? He did it because of love! He loves us, and He wants us to spend eternity with Him in heaven. Sin is serious—so serious that it sent Jesus to the cross. But God's love is greater, and because of Jesus' death and resurrection we can be saved. Turn to Christ and accept Him into your life today.
The Bible makes it clear that Jesus' resurrection isn't a myth or symbol. Instead, it really happened! The hardened Roman soldiers who crucified Him knew He was dead when they took Him down from the cross and laid Him in a borrowed cave-like tomb. But on the third day that tomb was empty, and later hundreds saw Him.
Why is this important? Because it tells us there is hope—hope for this life, and hope beyond the grave. Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies" (John 11:25). This hope can become yours, as you turn in faith to the living Christ and ask Him into your life.

Jesus did die.
He gave up his human body as a sacrifice.
He has never re-taken that human body, never will or the value of the sacrifice is nullified.
His resurrection was as a spirit creature, like angels.
All our dead loved ones will see life again thanks to the resurrection.
There is an appointed time for it to start.
It is not a individual thing, but rather a class action ...at the appointed time.

he's dead and has been for for almost 2000 years
he wasn't resurrected because no one will be resurrected till the time of the true messiah and he wasn't it
proof?
he's dead
and so is everyone else that has died
the TRUE messiah will bring on a time of mass resurrections....not just a supposed one....and those that are resurrected will remain alive and living a Torah life in Israel
has that happened yet?
no?
than Jesus was a false messiah...one that we were warned against

If Jesus raised imperfect humans from the dead who lived again, and will do so for many more, why is it impossible to believe He died for us and was raised from the dead? You either believe or you don't. No one on Yahoo Answers can give you faith, but you'll find plenty of infidels on here who will happily strengthen your lack of faith. Seek and you'll find.
