i told her my last relationship was 1 yr ago wen really it was like 3 or 4, if i shud tell her, how do i do it?

Ed you should tell her because if she is going to be the love of your life at sometime or other you will tell her or she will find out from someone else. Truth in relationships stops the darkness from coming in your know. x

A lie, no matter what "size" it is is a lie. Why you told this one is beyond me. I think most girls would have rather heard the truth as it would ease their mind you weren't on the rebound or a man whore, but what's done is done. Tell her the truth. Something like,"look, I told you something about me that wasn't exactly truthful. I don't want this to mess up our relationship and I don't want you to think I lie about everything..." and you fill in the rest. If she cares about you, this shouldn't be that big of a deal, as long as you DID have a GOOD reason for telling her that.

I personally would have rather heard that than you hadn't been in a relationship for 3 or 4 years. This would have meant that you possibly were not just getting over a relationship. If she cares about you, she will forgive you, and in the future do not lie to her.

Now Ed, why would you lie about that? I do believe if you think this relationship is going to be one you would like to pursue on a long term basis that you need to cleanse your soul and tell her. Just be forth coming and say, "honey, I wasn't quite as truthful when I told you about my last relationship when I said it was one year" Pause....from girlfriend, duck in case she has tendency to throw things. You must the proceed with the truth......good luck!

yeah u should tell her. one day that u guys are having fun or are having a serious talk just take the time to clear any misunderstandings between u two by saying baby u remember when i told this about my last relationship then u tell her the truth. i hope she will appreciate the fact that u come clean.

Tell her that you got to make a confession about how long your last relationship was longer than one year. She shouldn't get mad at that. I wouldn't its just a relationship. No offence to you or anything. But just be honest.

Eh it was just a white lie. Leave her in the dark, if she finds out later just tell her you didn't want to come off looking like a loser and risk her losing interest in you.

tell her the truth although why ur worrying i'm not sure, it was a very white lie, wasn't it?
tell her the truth then let it go, move on & b happy with ur new girlfriend.
